IRUN Curriculum Framework

 
Faculty can use the framework to assess existing curricula and incorporate learning objectives and resources. The Framework covers 12 foundational topics and serves as a guide for integrating immunization content into prelicensure curricula. it does not provide instructions for teaching immunization.

IRUN Curriculum Mapping Tool

 
Serves as a starting point for integrating immunization content into individual courses or curriculum revision efforts by linking the learning objectives of the 12 IRUN Framework topics to 13 common nursing courses. This tool can be used by individual faculty and/or curriculum committees for course and/or curricular integration.

Fundamental Case Studies​

 
These 21 patient cases address fundamental immunization content across the life span and are grouped by patient age and categorized by difficulty level. The case studies can be incorporated into in-person or virtual learning course curricula as either individual or group learning activities.

Simulation Scenarios

 
​Three simulation scenarios allow students to apply immunization knowledge in infant, adolescent, and adult vaccination scenarios. These adaptable scenarios can be used for classroom role-play, as a stand-alone lab simulation or incorporated existing simulations and/or course content.
